It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Georgia Harris Mims who entered into rest June 1, 2025.

Ms. Mims was a 1968 graduate of Jefferson High School and an Operating Room Technician at Stewart Winn Army Community Hospital in Ft. Stewart, Georgia. She was a member of Young Macedonia Baptist Church

Survivors include two sons, Donald (Patrena) Mims and Ronald Mims; six sisters, Sally L. Mims, Delores Harris, Judy (Wayne) Ramsey, Gail (John Henry) Mealing, Karen Wade and Stephanie McCain; four brothers, Marceller Harris, Freddie James Harris, Douglas (Sharon) Harris and Tony Bernard (Katherine) Harris; five grandchildren, Deona L. Mims, Lauren D. Mims, Evan Mims, Kenyada R. Norman and Javoddis Coach; six great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, June 6, 2025 at Young Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Butler officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
