With deepest and heartfelt sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mrs. Georgia M. Smallwood who entered into rest May 21, 2026.

Mrs. Smallwood, a native of Asheville, North Carolina, was a member of Old Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Deacon Emeritus Warren J. Smallwood, Sr.; a daughter, Ayrika G. N. (Joseph) Fletcher; two sons, Pastor Warren J. (Rosa) Smallwood, Jr. and Joseph D. (Rodlynn) Smallwood; a stepdaughter, Angela Smallwood; three sisters, Asenath Elam Rout, Sheila L. (Rahsaan) Wakisa and Lorinda D. Elam; two brothers, George W. Elam, Jr. and Roderick D. Elam; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Arrangements will be announced.
