It is with deep and sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Gloria Jean McKie Wright who entered into rest March 10, 2024.

Mrs. Wright, a native of Aiken County was a graduate of Leavelle McCampbell High School. and a member of Valley Fair Baptist Church where she served as President of the Usher's Ministry, Vice President of the Pastor's Aide Ministry, Women's Ministry and as Custodian. She was employed by the Richmond County Board of Education.

Survivors include her companion, Rasheed McPherson; a daughter, Jeanette (Toby) Wright-Curry; a son, Jeffery Antonio (Nadine) Wright; six grandchildren, Derontez Wright, Keeyona Curry, Sariah Wright, Xzavier Ross, LaFabian Rodgers and Alaveon Rodgers; four chosen children, Quanta (Belvin) Miller-Reynolds; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 pm Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Valley Fair Baptist Church with the Rev. Troy Nipper officiating. Interment will follow in Bettis Academy Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from 2 pm to 5:30 pm. Friday at the funeral home.
