With deepest sympathy we announce the transition of Ms. Gloria Jean Simpkins who entered into rest August 14, 2024.

Ms. Simpkins, a native of Edgefield County was a 1983 graduate of North Augusta High School. She attended Aiken Technical College. She was employed by Believe Home Health Care. She was a member of Old Piney Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include three brothers, J.P. Simpkins, Jr., Henry (Juanita) Simpkins and Roosevelt (Linda) Simpkins; four sisters, Catherine (Moses) Butler, Carrie Simpkins, Corine (Dan) Curry and Genevieve Simpkins; brother-in-law, George Simpkins; sister-in-law, Mary Simpkins; one uncle, Chester Mealing; two aunts, Helen Jackson and Mattie Murray; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, August 23, 2024 at Old Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis T. Coley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2pm to 5:30 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
