Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Gussie Walker who entered into rest February 24, 2022 at AU Medical Center.


Mrs. Walker was a native of Aiken County and a member of Hazel Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Jefferson High School.


Survivors include her husband, Isaiah Walker, Beech Island, SC; a daughter, Tonie Starks-Dixon (Michael), North Augusta, SC; two brothers, Badgre Starks (Lorraine) Augusta, GA and Milledge Starks, Jr., (Lillie) Harlem, GA; two sisters, Eloise Evans and Gertrude Starks, Beech Island, SC; three grandchildren and one great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.


Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, March 5, 2022 in Hazel Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Henry Ingram officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.



Professional Services are under the care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.
