It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Hattie Mae Curry Simpkins who entered into rest February 24, 2024.

Ms. Simpkins was a native of of Edgefield County and a member of Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Federal Pacific in Edgefield, SC.

Survivors include a son, Keesley (Alexandria) Simpkins; a brother, Henry Curry, Sr.; a sister, Alice Dobey; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm Friday, March 1, 2024 at Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church of which the Rev. Lorenzo Williams pastor and the Rev. Henry Curry, Jr., eulogist. Interment will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2 pm to 5:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
