IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helen Ruth
Leaverette
February 11, 1939 – November 2, 2025
Helen Ruth Leaverette, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was born on February 11, 1939 to the late Mose Brown and Mabel Robinson Brown. She entered into eternal rest surrounded by love and her family's prayers.
Helen was united in marriage to the late Ollie Edward Leaverette Sr., and together they built a beautiful life rooted in faith, strength, and family devotion. Their union was blessed with seven children: Steve Leaverette, Sonja Leaverette, Ollie Leaverette Jr.(Tracey Leaverette), Vickie Leaverette, Dana Leaverette, Brian Leaverette Sr.(Melissa Leaverette), and Roderic Leaverette(Indhira Leaverette).
Helen dedicated many years of compassionate service as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Mattie C. Hall Nursing Home, where she cared for others with dignity, patience, and kindness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Edward Leaverette Sr., and her son, Brian Leaverette, Sr.
Her legacy continues through 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, who will forever carry her love, traditions, and wisdom forward.
She also leaves to cherish her memory her loving siblings: Clifford Brown of Philadelphia, PA; Bennie Brown (Leslie Brown) of Philadelphia, PA; Alonzo Brown Sr. of Philadelphia, PA; Jimmy Brown of Graniteville, SC; Mozelle Jones of Belvedere, SC; Martha Johnson (Johnnie Johnson Sr.) of Beech Island, SC; and Alice Thomas of Aiken, SC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, and friends who will deeply miss her.
Helen's life was one of devotion — to her family, to her work, and to everyone she encountered. She will be remembered for her warm smile, her strength through every season, and her unwavering love. Her memory will forever remain a blessing.
