With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mrs. Helen Burton Thomas who entered into rest November 7, 2024.

Mrs. Thomas, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Order of Easter Star. She volunteered at the Edgefield County Hospital until her health failed.

Survivors include two daughters, Annette Henighan of Winston-Salem, NC and Valerie (Larry) Nesmith of Charleston, SC; two sisters, Patricia Brown of Bronx, NY and Polly (Arbe) Felton of Sellers, SC; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Jeter Baptist Church with the Rev. James E. Thomas officiating. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
