G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Ms. Idella Samuels who entered into rest November 18, 2025.

Ms. Samuels, a native of Aiken County, was a member of Mt. Transfiguration Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Allison (Clarence) Washington and Vermelle Johnson; two sons, Wilbur Leon Johnson, Jr. and Steve (Brenda) Johnson; a sister, Sherrie (Amos) Jones; a friend treated like a brother, Tyrone (Beck) Watson; 10 grandchildren; 13, great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Mt. Transfiguration Baptist Church with the Rev. Clarence D. Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
