It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Ira Martin who entered into rest March 31, 2022 at University Hospital.

Mr. Martin a native of Aiken County was a graduate of Aiken High School and Aiken Technical College. He was a Correction Officer for the SC Department of Corrections. At an early age, he joined Bell Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Middleton Martin; two sons, Kevin (Imani) Smith and Sean (Crystal) Middleton; three daughters, LaToya Middleton, Felicia (Michael, Sr.) Middleton-Lathan and NaTasha (Te'Quan) Scott; three sisters, Queen Martin Mathis, Bessie Martin Bennett and Norma Brooks; twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, April 9, 2022 in Bell Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Minister DeJuan Middleton officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
