It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. James A. "Bill" Young who entered into rest on May 28, 2022.

Mr. Young, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Science Hill Baptist Church. He was a construction worker, welder, and a truck driver.

Survivors include six children, Taneika McDowell (Jason), Alfraydo Young, Jonathan Young (Natalia), Tylisha Young, Whitney Young, and Wakia Meadows (Jamaar); two brothers, Ernest Young, Jr. (Johnnie Mae) and Jamel Young; three sisters, Annie Willie Mims (Raymond), Lizzie Merriweather, and Barbara Ann Merriweather; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Science Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
