It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. James Henry Jones who entered into rest on February 15, 2024.

Mr. Jones was a graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School and a member of Greater Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. He retired as a Sales Store Worker at Fort Gordon.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Cook Jones; a son, Sharn Christopher Jones; a daughter, Dana Renee Jones; a sister, Betty Gonder; brother-in-law, James (Barbara) Cook, Jr.; sisters-in-laws, Mattie M. Jones, Fannie Turner, Dorothy Cook, Estella Ragland, Carrie (Arthur) Abraham and Frances (Robert) Allen; five grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 21, 2023 at Beulah Grove Baptist Church of which the Rev. Xavier Creekmur pastor and the Rev. Dr. Albert M. James eulogist. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
