IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Harmon,
Jr
August 13, 1938 – October 1, 2022
It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. James Harmon, Jr. who entered into rest October 1, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital.
Mr. Harmon was a native of McCormick County and a member of Laura Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Randall Harmon; three daughters, Barbara Tanks, Joyce Collier and Stacey Williams; two sons, James C. (Monica) Harmon and Jamell Roper; step daughter, Shonda (Donnell) Stewart; two sisters, Leila (Horace) Walker and Gladys Harmon; three brothers, Jessie (Kerri) Harmon, Willie Harmon and Larry Harmon; one aunt Beatrice Freeman; 11 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, October 8, 2022 in Laura Grove Memorial Gardens (located across from the church) with Minister Marcella Glover officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. The remains will lie in state in Laura Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday from 12-1 pm. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Professional Services are under the care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.
