With deep and profound sympathy we announce the transition of Mr. James Michael Raiford Taylor who entered into rest September 13, 2024.

Mr. Taylor, a native of Aiken County, was a graduate of Aiken High School and South Carolina State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. He was employed by Savannah River Mission Completion and was member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Survivors include one daughter, Auri Taylor of Graniteville, SC; his parents, Darrell Raiford, Sr. and Dr. Dorothea Taylor both of Aiken, SC; his companion, Brianna Trowell of Graniteville, SC; one sister, Charmaine Scott of North Augusta, SC; two brothers, Adrian Raiford of Augusta, GA and Darrell Raiford, Jr. of Monetta, SC; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 20, 2024 at Second Baptist Church where the Rev. Raymonda R. Speller is the pastor and Pastor Furman M. Miller, Jr. of Cumberland AME Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Ridge Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
