It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. James E. "Sporty" Williams who entered into rest January 16, 2023.

Mr. Williams, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Republican Grove Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include one son, Ronnie Franklin, Aiken; one brother, Jacob (Rose) Williams, Trenton; and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Republican Grove Baptist Church. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
