With deepest and profound sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mrs. Janie Key who entered into rest November 4, 2026.

Mrs. Key, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Janet Drumming, Saneta Bryan and Sylvia (Curtis) Jefferson; one son, Wendell Key; one sister, Ruth Williams; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; a devoted friend, Mary Ryans; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 12, 2026 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
