With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mr. Jerome D. Dunbar who entered into rest April 1 2025.

Survivors include two sons, Zion Dunbar and Xavier Dunbar; his bonus father, Rev. Ronald Thurmond, aunts, Willette Dunbar, Barbara Dunbar, Betty (Raymond) Pontoon, Lillie Mae Patterson, Hattie Thurmond and Christine Deloach; uncles, Charles Dunbar and Albert (Ann) Dunbar; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, April 7, 2025 at Friendship Baptist Churc where the Rev. T. C. Edwards is the pastor and the Rev. Ronald Thurmond eulogist. Interment will follow in Ashley Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
