Obituary

With deepest sympathy we announce the transition of Ms. Jessie M. Loman Mathis who entered into rest July 17, 2024.

Ms. Mathis, a native of Edgefield County, attended the Edgefield County School System. She worked  as a Home Healthcare Aide. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Edgefield.

Survivors include three sons, Frederick Loman, Jeffery Loman and Reginald Brown; a bonus daughter, Shania Brown (Antwaun) Betters; three sisters, Mary Alice McNeal; Willie Mae (Michael) Anderson and Annette Stringer; two brothers, Yancey (Zelma) Loman and Barney Loman; one aunt, Josephine Moore; a devoted friend, Mae Bell (Benny) Butler; nine grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Young Piney Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Emeritus Edward Lloyd, officiating.

Professional Care has been entrusted to G. L.Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.
