G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Jimmy R. Bowie who entered into rest September 17, 2025.

Mr. Bowie was a native of Anderson County. He was employed at Prime Steak House.

Survivors include his father, George R. Bowie of Honea Path, SC; two brothers, Michael Bowie of Augusta, GA and Cleo Bowie of Columbia, SC; one sister, Michelle Bowie-Sha'Kur of Aiken, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 27, 2025 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Thurmond officiating. Viewing will be held on Saturday Only from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
