Obituary
With heartfelt sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Rev. John W. Holmes who entered into rest January 20, 2026.
Rev. Holmes was a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an Associate Minister.
Survivors include his daughter, Artesia Hamilton; two brothers, Eric (Janice) Holmes and James Holmes; two grandchildren, Arshawna Binnon and Clifton Binnon, Jr.; a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 1, 2026 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
