Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Johnnie F. McCain who entered into rest February 4, 2022.


Mr. McCain was a native of Edgefield County and a member of Carey Hill Baptist Church where he served on the deacons ministry, senior choir ministry and the male chorus ministry. He worked in the textile industry.


Survivors include his fiancee, Maggielene Harrison; a son, Larry (Cynthia) McCain; a daughter, Lisa (Byron) Walker; a brother, Sylvester (Shirley) McCain; two sisters, Julia Simpkins and Hattie Collier; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.


Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Sunday, February 13, 2022 in Carey Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Louis T. Coley officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
