It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announced the transition of Mr. Jonathan Mims who entered into rest January 8, 2023.

Mr. Mims was a 1980 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School where he played football and drove a school bus. He worked at the Savannah Rive Site for many years. He was a member of Mims Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Katrina Mims; a son, Jay (Brittany) Mims; a daughter, Brandie Mims; two grandchildren, Jaylin and Sankwon; four brothers, Argentina Mims, Henry James (Machelle) Mims, John Allen (Kimberly) Mims and Herbert Mims; two sisters, Mary (Milledge) Callaham and Marilyn Mims; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Darrell Blocker officiating. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
