Joseph Williams

With deepest and heartfelt sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Joseph Williams who entered into rest July 5, 2026.

Mr. Williams, a native of Aiken County, was a Retired Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Young Storm Branch Baptist Church where he served in the Deacon's Ministry. He later began to fellowship with Old Storm Branch Baptist Church.

Survivors include a devoted and dedicated cousin and caregiver for many years, Theresa Mealing; granddaughter, Monique Sullivan; great-grandson, Journee Sullivan; ,Ricky (Marcia) Williams; niece, Josephine Williams; special family and friends, Mary (Willie) Riley and Roosevelt Mealing; Goddaughter, JeKwella (Wesley) Thompson, Murray and Kemper families, Barbara Coleman, Jimmy and Janet Cofer, Tony and Parri Wright and a host of saddened extended nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and compassionate friends that will remember the life and legacy of this great man.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Chapel with the Rev. Martris Mims officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
