With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mrs. Josie M. Gilchrist who entered into rest March 4, 2025.

Mrs. Gilchrist, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Linda Robinson, Darlene Vedrine, Almena Gilchrist and Janie Odom; two sons, Larry Key and Ernest (Barbara) Gilchrist; nine grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. C. Moses Myers officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.
