With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mrs. Julia Samuels Williams who entered into rest December 18, 2024.

Mrs. Williams, a native of Aiken County, attended Martha Schofield High School. She graduated from Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY. She retired from the VAMC in Augusta, GA after thirty years of service as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of Old Storm Branch Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joseph Williams; a niece, Vickie Samuels, nephews, Jeffery (Helena) Thomas, Maurice (Elaine) Thomas, Reggie Thomas and Joseph (Cathy) Thomas; great niece, Catherine Rayven Washington; step granddaughter, Monique Sullivan, step grandson, Journee Sullivan; sister-in-law, Alzater (George) Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, December 21, 2024 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with the Martris Mims officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until 5:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
