It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Kenneth Baker who entered into rest February 13, 2023.

Kenneth was born on September 23, 1972 in Orangeburg, SC to the late Thomas and Mary Elmore Baker.

He graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in 1990. He received his Bachelors Degree from South Carolina State University in 1995 and went on to the University of Pittsburgh where he received his Masters Degree in 1999. He was a Network Engineer with the Savannah River Site and was a member of New Hope Worship Center in Grovetown, GA.

Survivors include his wife, Lawanna A. Liggins Baker; a son, Kenneth J. Baker; a daughter, Mariel J. Baker; two brothers, Stanley Baker and Anthony Baker; a sister, Stephanie Baker; father-in-law, Charles Liggins (Marsoline Sanders); mother-in-law, Janie Liggins; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 19, 2023 at New Hope Worship Center with the Rev. Reagan Sommers officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM Saturday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday at the church.
