With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Miss LaVerne Renee Williams who entered into rest July 31, 2025.

Miss Williams was a 2001 graduate of North Augusta High School. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Augusta State University. She was a Customer Service Representative for AAA. She was a member of Mims Grove Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are: her parents, Larry and Cora Mims Williams; two sisters, LaTrinda C. Williams-Paltarak  her twin and Tracy D. (Ronnie, Jr.) Custis; maternal grandmother, Mary Lou Jefferson Mims; uncles, Freddie (Mary) Williams, Cheyenne (Mary) Mims, Kenneth (Carletta) Mims, Wayne Mims and Sammy Mims; one aunt, Shirley (William) Sullivan; one niece, Jayla Custis; two nephews, Elijah Paltarak and Colin Custis; and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Shaws Creek Baptist Church where the Rev. Michael Walker pastor and Rev. Dr. Willie D. Abney eulogist. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
