Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Lawrence Cormier, Jr. who entered into rest July 27, 2022.


Mr. Cormier, a native of Acadia Parish, LA was a graduate of Lake Charles High School, Lake Charles, LA. He was a United States Army Veteran.


Survivors include his wife, Annie W. Houston Cormier; a daughter, Linda (Joseph) Harper; two sons, Anthony (La'Veda) Paige and Timothy Houston; a sister, Dorothy Euglon; two brothers-in-law, Robert (Libby) Houston and Joseph (Mary) Houston; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Old Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis T. Coley officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery with military honors. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Monday at the funeral home.
