With deepest sympathy, we announce the transition of Mr. Leroy Blanding who entered into rest January 1, 2025.

Mr. Blanding was a native of Exmore, VA.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary (MC) Johnson of Rivera Beach, FL and Frances (Herman) Bruce of Elizabeth City, NC; eight nieces, Ruth H. Mack of Summerton, SC, Retea (Rick) Suaby of Clinton, NC, Leola Billy Blanding of Belle Glade, FL, Pamela Davis of Rivera Beach, FL, Tammy (Richard) Curry of Lyons, GA, Tonya Johnson of West Palm Beach, FL and Lela Mae Blanding of Glennville, GA; six nephews, Reginald Finney of Elizabeth City, NC, Horace Brown of Delaware, Robbie (Sarah) Finney of Johnston, SC, Mario Blanding and Emmanuel Blanding of Tampa, FL; a personal and devoted friend, Gladys Forston and her grandson, Timothy; his beloved friends, Ken, Ann and Kenny Hutchinson of Johnston, SC, Ken and Brenda Long of North Augusta, SC, Dea. Lewis Thomas of Augusta, GA, Mildred and Family; and a host of grandnieces, grandnephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, January 9, 2025 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Oscar W. Brown officiating. Interment will take place at 11:00 AM Friday, January 10, 2025 in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
