With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mr. Lester Oliphant who entered into rest March 11, 2025.

Mr. Oliphant, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Venisce Chinn Oliphant; his mother, Alma Oliphant; chosen children, Latrage Blocker, Darian Chinn, John W. Jackson, Jr. and Xavier Jackson; three sisters, Vashtie Chinn, Patricia Oliphant and Comelita Oliphant; three brothers, Darryl Oliphant, Larry (Dorothy) Oliphant and Vincent Oliphant; father and mother-in-law, Warren and Geneva Chinn; sisters-in-law, Stracie (Deric) Jones and Stephanie (Chris) Dorn; brother-in-law, Warren Chinn III; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Oscar W. Brown officiating. Viewing will ONLY be held on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
