It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Machela D. Knox who entered into rest November 18, 2022.

Mrs. Knox, a native of Saluda County, was a 1983 graduate of Saluda High School. She earned an Associates Degree from Aiken Technical College in 1986. She was an Assistant Vice President of Project Management at SRP Federal Credit Union and a member of Second Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Rev., Dr. Robert Knox, Jr.; a daughter, Rylee M. Knox; a son, Robert Knox, III; her mother, Rev. Viola Burton Pugh; three brothers, Dewayne (April) Pugh, Toby (Chandra) Pugh, and Ivan (Katina) Pugh; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Second Providence Baptist Church with the Rev., Dr. Robert Knox, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.
