Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Mae Frances Jackson Curry who entered into rest June 3, 2025.

Ms. Curry, a native of Edgefield County, was a 1970 graduate of W. E. Parker High School. She was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church where she served as Chief of the Ushers Ministry.

Survivors include a son, Toby A. (Jeanette) Curry; two brothers, Booker T. (Mary Hayden) Jackson, Jr., and Willie Jackson; two sisters, Ruth (Laverne) Thomas and Mildred (Michael) Cannon; a grandson, Derontez (Tatiana Luke) Wright; her dog, Rock; brother and sisters-in-law, Willie M. (Patricia) Curry, Jessie Smith and Annie (Steven) Turner; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. Troy Nipper officiating. Interment will follow in Bettis Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
