Margaret B. Pope

With deepest and heartfelt sympathy, G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mrs. Margaret B. Pope who entered into rest April 27, 2026.

Mrs. Pope, a native of Clarks Hill, SC, was a member of Spring Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Alexander Pope; five daughters, Stephanie Walker, Sharon Walker, Sybrenia Grant , Alexis (Gerard) Comegys and Tycee Wright; two sons, Talib Rashid and Tracy (Kelly) Pope; two sisters, Elizabeth Thomas and Rubenia (Harvest) Hammond; one brother, Rev. Johnny Bussey; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Spring Grove Missionary Baptist Church where the Rev. Delbert Nero is the pastor and the Rev. Johnny Bussey eulogist. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
