It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Marie Shaw who entered into rest March 5, 2022 at Edgefield County Healthcare.

Mrs. Shaw, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Shaws Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Turner of Aiken, SC and Rocelia Ware of Belvedere, SC; two sons, Donnell Shaw of Decatur, GA and Elijah Shaw, Jr. of Trenton, SC; one sister, Mary Ramsey of Brooklyn, NY; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 12, 2022 on the grounds of Shaws Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The service will be live-streamed via the G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Facebook Page. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
