Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Marshall Turner, Jr. who entered into rest March 3, 2023 at AU Medical Center.


Mr. Turner was a native of Aiken County and a graduate of Jefferson High School. He retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and a member of Hammond Grove Word Power Ministry.


Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Hardy Turner; two sons, Marshall Turner, III and Derrick Anthony Turner; a sister, Ruby Turner; chosen brothers and sister; Charlie (Lucille) Butler, John W. (Alberta) Butler and Mamie (Sam) Stallings; god sister, Ruthola (Daniel) Holmes; one aunt, Essie Turner: and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, March 10, 2023 at Hammond Grove Word Power Ministry with Dr. Bobby G. Hankerson officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
