It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Mary Jackson Brinson who entered into rest December 13, 2023.

Ms. Brinson, a native of Wilkes County, was a member of Bethel AME Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Apostle Cristine Brinson-Harris (Apostle William J. Harris, Jr.), Aiken, SC; a son Richard Brinson, Columbia, SC; three special grandchildren, Barry Cadillac Smith (Madelyn), Hinesville, GA, Miracle K. Harris and William J. Harris, II, Aiken, SC; two great grandsons, Jaden and Jordan Smith, Hinesville, GA; two sisters, Ruth Jackson Bell, Augusta, GA and Gloria Jean Edwards, Washington, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins , and nursing facility workers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 23, 2023 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel. Viewing will be held from 2pm-5:30pm Friday at the funeral home.
