It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Mary A. Simpkins who entered into rest September 25, 2023.

Mrs. Simpkins, a native of West Palm Beach, FL, was a member of Lockett Chapel FBH Church where she served as Missionary, Deaconess, and Mother of the Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline (Ozzie) Walker of Aiken, SC and Helena (Jeffrey) Thomas of Graniteville, SC ; two sons, Torricelli (Sarah) Simpkins and Wilfred (Nancy) Simpkins both of Aiken, SC; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, September 29, 2023 at Mt. Transfiguration Baptist Church with the Rev. Sara Oliphant officiating. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
