It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Mary McCain Garrett who entered into rest on June 8, 2025.

Ms. Garrett, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Carey Hill Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Choir Ministry and Mother of the Church.

Survivors include two sons, Leon (Cynthia) Garrett and Wallace (Debra) Garett, Jr.; a daughter, Sandra (Pastor Byron) Robinson; two sisters, Vurnell Freeman and Dorothy Ann Cook; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; a host of other relatives a nd friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Carey Hill Baptist Church Community Outreach Center where the Rev. Brandon Dotson pastor and Pastor Byron Robinson eulogist. Interment will follow in Old Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
