It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Mary E. Strum McKie, who entered into rest March 19, 2025.

Ms. McKie, a native of Aiken County, attended Schofield High School. She worked in the Textile Industry and was a member of Old Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Sherman McKie; a daughter, Edith McKie El; a sister, Mattie Leslie; ten grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Old Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Leonard O. Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm Monday at the funeral home.
