It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Mary Dundy Wilson who entered into rest July 11, 2023.

Mrs. Wilson was a graduate of Marlboro County High School and Voorhees College, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She taught school at Terence Manor Elementary School and Craig Hougthon Elementary School in Augusta, Georgia. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and Carpentersville Baptist Church where she served on the Christian Women's Alliance.

Survivors include two daughters, LaSonya Wilson and Rashonda (Sean) Barr; two sons, Jerome (April) Wilson Smith and Richard Wilson, Jr.; a sister, Janie Mae (James) McRae; sister-in-law, Betty Jean (Satchell, Sr.) Doyle; three brothers-in-law, James (Paulette)Wilson, Paul (Cheryl) Wilson and Alfred (Mary) Wilson, Sr.; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Carpentersville Baptist Church with the Rev. Herman Bing officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
