It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Melvin George Dukes who entered into rest January 25, 2025.

Survivors include his wife, ShaRon Spry Dukes; a daughter, Shaelynn Elaine Dukes; his father, Melvin Dukes; three brothers, Jonathan C. (Shakayla) Dukes, Victor B. (Anna) Dukes and Stephen N. Dukes; three nephews, Kyrie, Kaleb and Jonathan Dukes, Jr.; aunts, Valerie Brooks and Selecia Henderson; father and mother-in-law, Rev. Ronnie O. and Audrey Spry; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev., Dr. Charles E. Goodman officiating. Interment will follow in Walker Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm Tuesday at the Tabernacle Baptist Church Family Life Center.
