Obituary

G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Michael S. Camp who entered into rest November 25, 2025.

Mr. Camp, a native of Cherokee County, was a member of Second Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Camp; two daughters, Michaela (Christopher) Holmes and Kesha (Mark) Mason; a son, Desmond Camp; two sisters, Robbin Camp (Windell) and Nancy (Kenneth) Clark; a brother, Julius (Cordell) Camp; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 5, 2025 at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymonda Speller officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow at Southlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum. Viewing will be held from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
