It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Michele King Polite Bennings who entered into rest May 27, 2025.

Ms. Bennings was a native of Bronx, New York where she attended Public Schools.  She was baptized at Old Storm Branch Baptist Church. She worked for the Crothall Laundry Service.

Survivors include three sons, Damon King, Terrance King and Keith Polite; a daughter, Kimberly King; two brothers, Harvey (Sharon) King and Alphonso King, Jr.; three sisters, Janet Merchant, Annie Mae King and Yvette (William) Strayhorn; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 14, 2025 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with Elder Glendell Smith officiating. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
