G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Milledge "Soldier Boy" Jenkins, Jr. who entered into rest September 10, 2025.

Mr. Jenkins, a native of Aiken County, was veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include a daughter, Tamara (Adrian) Jenkins Wade; a son, Roger (Lavern) Simon; two grandchildren; two great-grandchilden; a host of other loving relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Welcome Travelers Baptist Church with the Rev. James A. Adams officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
