It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Millicent B. Walker who entered into rest February 13, 2022 at AU Medical Center.

Ms. Walker was a 1973 graduate of North Augusta High School and received an Associate degree from Augusta State University. She was a LPN at the Veteran Administration Medical Center. She was a member of Second Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Kawanna Walker; two sons, Fred L. Walker, III and Kevin D. Walker; two sisters, Pamela Oliver and Martez (William) Mims; two brothers, Victor M. (Irma) Simpkins, Sr., and Augustus L (Sheila) Simpkins, III; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, February 19, 2022 in Second Providence Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Albert James officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
