Obituary

G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Min. Sherman L. Offord who entered into rest September 13, 2025.

Mr. Offord was a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Y. Offord; one daughter, Takenya (Michael) Hunter, one son, Brian Bradley; one sister, Tanya Veal; one brother, Thurman Offord; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Aiken Church of Christ. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Thursday at the funeral. A New Orleans Style celebration will be held immediately following the visitation at the funeral home.

Professional Care has been entrusted to G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-Aiken.
