Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Ms. Mozell Martin Parks who entered into rest April 28, 2025.

Ms. Parks, a native of Edgefield County, was  a Librarian for a Publishing Company. She was a member of Old Strom Branch Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia A. Hill and Frances (Byron) Knight; one son Timothy Parks; three brothers, Arthur (Phyllis)Martin, Royland (Lona) Martin and Omar (Saleemah) Shaheed; three sisters, Janie Darden, Lula "Betty"(Alphonso) Martin and Patricia (Fred) Bush; sisters-n-law, Dorothy Martin, Flossie Martin and Vivian Martin; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Old Storm Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Martris Mims officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Professional Services are entrusted in the care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.
