August 21, 1992 – July 16, 2025
With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mr. Nicholas M. Jackson who entered into rest July 16, 2025.
Mr. Jackson was a native of Richmond County. He was a graduate of Redan High School in Stone Mountain, GA. He earned a Bachelors Degree from Bethune-Cookman University and was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, Red Dawg Order Incorporated, MU PHI SIGMA National Percussion Fraternity, Inc. and a member of Sudden Impact. Mr. Jackson served as Percussion Director at Edward Waters University. He also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars D-Line for two years.
Survivors include his parents, Rose Marie Roland and Milton Jackson; his siblings, Nichelle Jackson of Augusta, GA, Lanisja Summons of Stephens City, VA, Miesha Jackson of Randolph, MD, Lamar Justice of Augusta, GA, Tykesha (John) Allen of Mattapan, MA, Shira (Vince) Martin of Martinez, GA, Lachandra Kitchings of Augusta, GA, Ebony Jackson of Oakland, CA and Ephraim Jackson of Augusta, GA. In addition to the many beloved nieces and nephews, he played a vital role in the lives of Corvey Irvin, Jr., Taylor Jacobs, Carter Jackson and Caisen Newson whom he helped raise with love, guidance and pride. He also leaves behind a host of other close relatives and friends.
