It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Otis N. Yeldell, Sr. who entered into rest May 1, 2023.

Mr. Yeldell, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Moores Community Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Lou Yeldell; a daughter, Minnie Yeldell Hightower of North Augusta, SC; three sons, Calvin A. (Rose) Yeldell of San Diego, CA, Otis N. Yeldell, Jr. (Audrey Lewis) of Edgefield, SC and George Harvey (Jeannette) Yeldell of Aiken, SC; one brother, Willie Yeldell of Augusta, GA; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Armfield officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

The family will receive visitors at the residence (206 Youngblood Rd, Edgefield, SC) from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 3, 2023 through Saturday, May 6, 2023.
