G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mrs. Patricia Butler-Gaffney who entered into rest December 5, 2025.

Mrs. Butler-Gaffney was a native of Edgefield County and a member of Spring Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Irving Gaffney; a daughter, Pamela Denise Butler; five sisters, Sylvia Brayboy, Corinthian Hillary, Mariah Allen, Judy Mealing and Cannette Andrews; three brothers, Fitzgerald (Tasha) Mealing, Marcellous (Christine) Mealing and Russell (Melissa) Mealing; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Spring Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Delbert Nero officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery, LLC, Johnston, SC. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
